Syllabus-first teaching
CISSP syllabus chapters
Current ISC2 outline effective 15 April 2024; the announced 15 April 2027 replacement requires separate mapping · Source checked 2026-10-24
62 topic chapters teach concepts before asking you to apply them. Explore the visual model and memory hint, try the concept activity, then read the explanations and worked example. Selected topics also include interactive local simulations.
Sixty-two individually referenced chapters address the current top-level objective list. A chapter’s presence does not establish exhaustive subtopic depth, practical competence, independent approval or exam readiness. Use the remaining-gap information and official references for further study. The uploaded April 2024 syllabus was compared on October 24, 2026; 25 chapters received additional subtopic explanations. Misplaced or duplicated source bullets were not treated as new objectives. Chapter progress is separate from the earlier domain-overview progress.
