Appearance

Privacy and learning progress

The appearance selector can remember a light or night preference in this browser using the separate safehouse.appearance setting. System mode follows your device preference and removes that saved override. This setting is not included in course backups.

CC, CEH, CISSP and ISO-course practice

CC, CEH, CISSP and the three ISO courses keep active quiz choices and answers in memory while you navigate within the same course. Refreshing or leaving that course resets the active attempt. They also offer lesson completion, bookmarks and completed score history, with saving off by default. Enabling saving stores that course’s format version, course identifier, completion/bookmark lesson identifiers and up to 50 dated summaries containing attempt ID, bank version and correct/total counts. Individual quiz answers are never written to browser storage or progress backups. Each course has a separate storage key and backup format; another course’s backup is rejected. Flashcard recall marks last only while the deck page stays open.

Your choice to save in CISM

No academy account is required. Vercel-protected review access may require Vercel sign-in. CISM lesson completion and bookmarks stay in memory while you use the course. Saving is off until you choose Enable saving in this browser. With saving off, reloading or leaving the course can clear your selections.

If you enable saving, this browser stores a format version, the lesson identifiers you marked complete or bookmarked, and up to 50 completed practice summaries. Each summary contains a random attempt identifier, domain, completion date/time, correct/total counts, and question-bank version. It does not contain your individual answers or name. The learning-progress feature does not send these selections to a server or synchronize them to another device. Search queries are used locally and are not saved by the search feature.

Shared devices and storage limits

Anyone using the same browser profile may see saved selections. Other scripts running on this site may also be able to access browser storage. Do not use progress backups for confidential information. Browser settings, private browsing, or clearing site data may prevent saving or remove saved progress.

Other tabs and storage failures

Saved changes synchronize between tabs in the same browser profile. Each ordinary saved update reads the latest valid record first. If another tab removes that record, a later change stays in memory and saving turns off; it does not silently recreate the saved copy. If writing fails, your latest change stays in memory and a message recommends downloading a backup. Unreadable or invalid saved data is preserved until you explicitly clear it or replace it with a valid backup. Simultaneous writes from different tabs are not transactional, so keep a backup of important progress.

Backup, restore, and clear

The course hub can download a version 2 JSON backup of completion, bookmarks, and completed practice summaries. Keep your own copy if you want to move browsers. Restore validates the version, lesson identifiers, and practice-summary structure before offering to replace all current learning data. Older version 1 backups remain supported and restore completion/bookmarks with an empty practice history; the preview explains that existing history will be replaced. Invalid backups leave your current progress unchanged.

Stop saving removes the stored copy while keeping current selections for the course session. Clear all learning data asks you to confirm, removes the stored copy, clears completion/bookmarks/history, and turns saving off. Clear practice history only has its own confirmation and keeps completion and bookmarks. Files you downloaded are separate copies; remove them yourself if no longer needed.

CISM practice answers and flashcards

Detailed practice answers and flashcard recall marks stay in memory only while their page remains open. Reloading or leaving resets those details. Completing a quiz records a dated score summary in the course session; if saving is on, that summary is stored in this browser. Version 2 progress backups include summaries. Summaries are not sent by the learning tools to a server or used to predict certification results. Score summaries from the earlier question-bank version remain readable alongside the revised bank and retain their original version label. Reading an older stored record upgrades it in memory without overwriting the source; the next explicit save, progress change, or completed attempt writes the current format.

Homepage images and fonts

Homepage photographs are original AI-generated illustrations served with the site. The photo scenes contain no people and do not depict real academy premises. Fonts load from Google’s font network; opening a page using those fonts sends ordinary resource requests, including your network address, to that provider. Learning selections are not included in those font requests.

Contact and corrections

The contact page provides an email address. Clicking the email link opens your mail app; the academy does not send a message automatically or attach progress data. If you choose to send email, your mail provider and the recipient process the message and sender details. Include only information needed to explain your correction.

Other data and readiness

These statements describe the current learning tools. They do not claim that a hosting provider keeps no request logs. Hosting and any additional analytics or third-party features must be reviewed before public launch. Completion is self-reported and is not an assessment of exam readiness.
